Terms of Service: ToolKB Plans and Usage

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ToolKB (https://toolkb.in), creating an account, or subscribing to paid services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you must discontinue using our platform immediately.

2. Description of Services & Plans

ToolKB provides a suite of client-side web tools designed to process images, documents, and business data directly within your web browser. Our platform offers three usage tiers:

  • Guest Usage (No Registration): Access to standard tools with device-based daily limits (e.g. 3 image compressions, 2 PDF operations, 1 bulk batch of up to 5 files per day).
  • Free Account (Registered): Free registered accounts offering elevated daily limits (10 image compressions, 10 PDF operations, 3 bulk batches of up to 20 files per day) resetting daily at midnight IST.
  • Paid Subscriptions (Pro & Business): Premium subscription plans offering higher daily quotas (100 or 500 compressions/PDFs per day), large batch sizes (up to 100 or 200 files per batch), premium QR templates, and business invoicing capabilities.

3. Subscription Billing, Trials, & AutoPay Mandates

Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly or yearly subscription cycle via our authorized payment partner, Razorpay:

  • Introductory Trial: Eligible new customers may access a 7-day trial of Pro or Business for a one-time verification fee of Rs 2. This transaction establishes an authorized RBI-compliant e-mandate for scheduled recurring renewals.
  • Recurring Debits: Following the completion of the 7-day trial period, the configured subscription fee (e.g. Rs 149/month for Pro or Rs 499/month for Business) is charged automatically to your authorized payment method on the scheduled billing date.
  • Taxes: All subscription prices displayed on ToolKB include applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST).
  • Trial Limits: The introductory Rs 2 trial offer is limited to one per customer across all plans. Returning customers resubscribe at the standard recurring rate.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

You have full control over your subscription and can cancel recurring renewals at any time:

  • Self-Serve Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription directly from your Account Dashboard (`/account`) by clicking "Cancel Subscription".
  • Cancellation Options: You may elect to cancel immediately (downgrading your account to Free immediately) or schedule cancellation for the end of your current paid billing period. If you schedule cancellation, your premium access remains fully active until the verified period end date, after which your account automatically returns to the Free plan.
  • Refunds: Because ToolKB offers a 7-day trial for Rs 2 to enable comprehensive testing of all features prior to recurring charges, subscription fees charged upon scheduled renewal or regular checkout are non-refundable once the billing period has commenced, except in confirmed instances of duplicate billing or technical payment processing errors.

5. User Content, Privacy, & File Ownership

You retain 100% ownership, copyright, and legal rights to all files, photographs, signatures, invoices, and documents processed through ToolKB. ToolKB asserts zero intellectual property claims or ownership rights over your content.

Because ToolKB executes file transformations locally in your browser sandbox, your files are never transmitted to our servers or stored in our cloud infrastructure.

6. Output Accuracy & Portal Disclaimers

While ToolKB targets exact kilobyte boundaries and pixel dimensions published by examination authorities:

  • File size and pixel resolution are distinct parameters; meeting a target file size does not guarantee compliance with portal dimension requirements.
  • Examination boards (such as SSC, NTA, UPSC, IBPS, and RRB) periodically update application portals, photo age restrictions, or server validation scripts without public notice.
  • ToolKB does not warrant or guarantee that an output file will be accepted by any third-party portal, examination board, or recruitment portal.
  • You are solely responsible for independently inspecting all output documents prior to submission.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use ToolKB for:

  • Forging identity credentials, fake certificates, or deceptive official cards.
  • Generating fraudulent tax invoices, tax evasion schemes, or unauthorized billing documents.
  • Creating deceptive QR codes intended for payment phishing or malware distribution.
  • Attempting to bypass daily quota limits, manipulate API parameters, or scrape our web assets abusively.

8. Account Suspension & Abuse Prevention

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any account found violating these Terms, engaging in fraudulent billing activities, or attempting to compromise server security or API integrity.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ToolKB and its developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the platform, rejected exam submissions, business interruptions, or technical portal outages.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
